Tabletop Play
There are an array of tabletop activities and games that children can play and enjoy.
The most dynamic ones are those that are interactive, stimulating and fun. At the same time, activities and games
that are easy to grasp and age appropriate are more enriching for the child.
Tabletop play that features simplicity, yet fun will suit the younger children,
whilst, the older children may welcome more sophisticated and challenging play.
Engaging in tabletop play, will not only benefit children emotionally, but will also harness the following skills:
- develops social skills: learning to take turns and learning to share
- encourages Imagination and creative play
- develops language and communication - experimenting with language and descriptive words
- encourages children to self-express, hence helps to build self-esteem
- encourages children to manipulate and mould materials, building up their fine motor skills and coordination
